Everything I Deserve
In life, it's easy to set our sights on the things we want. It's easy to want them immediately. But we always get exactly what we deserve.
Six months ago, on the couch in my living room, was the first time I noticed him— I mean really noticed him.
Not just the physical things like his gorgeous smile and impeccable bone structure, but why he acts that way—so courteous, reliable, organized, and loving. He’s confident, grounded, sharp, and noble, and his acts of kindness aren’t to be considered “a nice guy”.
He’s slightly manipulative, likes control, and tests people to observe their loyalty. Likely due to the environment he was raised in. His family likes to believe they get crossed so much because of their status, but he doesn’t think that way. He’s humble enough to know they get crossed the same amount everyone else does. And wise enough to understand status amplifies everything.
He says that he noticed me first.
I was admiring our mutual friend Rachel’s art when he “saw me standing like an angel in the park drinking up life’s beauty.”
Whatever that fuckin means.
